One of the most exciting features of Sketch 59.1 is the improved text overrides for Symbols. Symbols are reusable components that you can create and edit in one place, and use across your designs. Text overrides allow you to change the content of text layers within Symbol instances, without affecting the original Symbol.

In previous versions of Sketch, text overrides were limited to changing the entire text layer. This meant that you had to create multiple Text Styles for different font properties, such as weight, color, alignment, and so on. For example, if you had a button Symbol with a text layer that used a regular font weight and a blue color, and you wanted to change it to a bold font weight and a red color in one instance, you had to create a new Text Style for that combination.

In Sketch 59.1, you can override font properties individually within Symbol instances, without creating new Text Styles. You can simply select the text layer you want to override, and use the Inspector panel to adjust the font properties as you wish. For example, you can change the font weight from regular to bold, or the color from blue to red, or both. You can also override other properties such as alignment, spacing, transformation, and more.

This feature gives you more flexibility and control over your text layers within Symbols, and reduces the number of Text Styles you need to manage in your project. You can also use this feature to create dynamic text layers that adapt to different content lengths and languages. a474f39169
